Events Manager 5.5.3.1 is out (oops!)

Posted on June 5, 2014

Version 5.5.3.1 is out. Below is the list of changes:

  • added #_TAGNOTES
  • fixed forced owner event/location searches when logged in as subscribers and in AJAX requests where owner attribute is false
  • fixed minor php warning

You’ll notice the list is smaller compared to our usual releases. Some people that have been told that a certain feature or issue will be addressed in the next update but won’t see that in the list above. There’s a reason for that, hence the ‘oops!’.

Whilst it can be considered a stable release, it wasn’t intentional and was meant to be a development (dev) version. It turns out we forgot to tag the latest release, and therefore the wordpress.org repo assumed the next commit to be a stable update. In most cases, our dev versions can be considered ‘stable’ as they too undergo testing and scrutiny of every line changed before being released, this case is no different and therefore it is now the latest official ‘stable’.

For those expecting more in this update, sorry for the confusion, you’ll see it in the next update, really ;)

    how does it work

We’ve updated to the latest today, but our settings changed. We want to go back to it’s previous state / version. How can we do this?

Is there any way to NOT have an “end time”? That would be very helpful for events that “go till it’s done”

    Thanks!!
