This policy explains how the Events Manager mobile app (the “App”), published by Pixelite SL, a software company based in Andorra (“we”, “us”), handles your information. The App is an administrator tool that connects to WordPress sites you control.
This policy covers the mobile App only. Our website, online store, support forums, and plugin-customer accounts are covered by the separate website Privacy Policy.
The short version
- Your WordPress site credentials stay on your device — in the system keychain — and are never sent to us.
- We collect no personal profile: there is no app account, and we do not track you across apps or sell data.
- We make two kinds of network calls to our servers: checking whether a site has an Events Manager Pro licence, and validating an App subscription. Neither sends personal contact information.
- Subscriptions are processed by Apple and Google, under their privacy policies.
Information stored on your device only
- Site connections and credentials. When you connect a WordPress site, the App stores its address and the credential it obtains (an OAuth token, or an application password) in the device’s secure keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). These never leave your device except to talk directly to your own site.
- Your app data. Events, bookings, locations, and similar content are fetched directly from your sites for display and are not collected by us.
Information sent to our servers (eventsmanagerpro.com)
- Licence verification. To determine whether a connected site unlocks the App for free, the App sends that site’s address to our licence service. No personal data is included.
- Subscription validation. When you subscribe or open the App, it sends an app-generated random identifier (a UUID created on your device, not tied to your name or email) together with the store transaction identifier for your purchase. Our server checks this with Apple or Google and stores the resulting entitlement record (the random identifier, the product/tier, the expiry date, and the store’s technical response). This lets us confirm your subscription is valid and account for active subscriptions. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details through this process.
Payments
Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive your card or payment-account details. Their handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s and Google’s own privacy policies.
Device permissions
- Camera — used on your device to scan ticket and booking QR codes for check-in. Images are processed locally and not sent to us.
- Photo library — used only if you choose to scan a QR code from a saved photo; processed locally.
- Location — used only when you ask to find venues near you; your location is used on-device to query your own site and is not collected by us.
You can grant or revoke these permissions any time in your device settings.
Sharing
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. Information is shared only with: your own WordPress sites (which you control); Apple and Google for payment and subscription status; and as required by law.
Retention
Subscription-entitlement records are kept for as long as needed to provide and account for your subscription, and then deleted or anonymised. On-device data is removed when you sign out of a site or uninstall the App.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information we hold and to object to certain processing. Because the data we hold about the App is limited to an anonymous identifier and subscription status, please contact us with that identifier so we can locate the relevant record. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
The App is a business tool intended for site administrators and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information, including on-device secure storage for credentials and encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with an updated date.
