To those upgrading today,
I’ve got some really bad luck with the WordPress SVN this year… The plugin repo shows 4.0rc2 as the latest public update, yet everything is set up to show 3.0.98.
As a result, people are downloading RC2 and it’s not fully tested. We’re trying to get a hold of someone at wp.org to get 3.0.98 back up as the stable but no luck, so we’ll have to push for some quick bugfixes and make RC2 stable. It was just about ready anyway, so it’s probably just a few hours work.
Will keep below updated and will also tweet/fb as i know more …
Update @21:47 CET: Found an install that’s presenting pretty much all of the issues people are reporting. Will check this out now and try to get a fix done within a few hours… will keep this updated.

Thank you so much for such a great plugin. We just uploaded as our final step before we launch our new website and because we did that the calendar function is essentially no longer working. Thanks for your efforts to resolve this. If at all possible, would you be able to tell me how to roll back?

the calendar should be fine unless you’re doing somethings special. open up a forum topic with more details and we can see if it’s a bug or just a setting issue

Is it possible to downgrade to 3.0.98? I’ve lost all my events.

To anyone wondering this, you definitely haven’t lost your events! Open up a forum topic (or let us know you have the same issue on a current one) and we’ll do our best to help you get to v4. Chances are it’s a small thing.
However, you can downgrade but there is a small change you have to make to the tables, which is changing event_owner to event_author on the wp_em_events table.

As per my previous comment I went from 4.0cr2 to 3.0.94. Then went to 3.0.98 and now back up to 4.0 (not rc2).
All is fine and events, etc are all intact. Love the new options. Thanks for your speedy attention to all of this Marcus.
Great plugin and definitely worthy of high rankings. Keep the development going. Would be happy to pay for this plugin.
Cheers,
Matt
