Upcoming Price Changes Effective Next Week: Here’s What You Need to Know
We have an important update for our Events Manager community regarding our previously announced pricing changes. After several months of delays and careful consideration, we are now ready to move forward with the new pricing structure, which will take effect next week.
Why Have We Delayed the Price Change?
When we first announced our new pricing plans earlier this year, we intended for them to take effect much sooner. However, due to several unforeseen challenges and, consequentially, a temporary shift in focus, we needed to revise the date on a weekly basis. We have been doing so for some time now and are ready to announce that this is the final week of our current pricing tier.
Whilst the number of reasons are far greater and more complexly intertwined, here’s some key reasons for the delay included:
Completion of the Events Manager Connect Add-on
Our plan was to kick off the new Plus plan with exclusive access to Events Manager Connect, which integrates Events Manager with popular messaging platforms like Telegram, WhatsApp, and Twilio SMS/WhatsApp.
One major bottleneck surrounding this integration was handling of previous user phone data, coupled with consent mechanisms, and how to fold that into the new features. Our recent Events Manager 6.6 and Pro 3.4 update was the final necessary step to allow us to release the Connect add-on (more on this in the coming days!).
Now that the add-on is fully developed and ready, we can move forward with the transition.
Technical Improvements and Licensing Updates
We faced various technical issues on the licensing side that needed to be resolved to ensure a smooth transition to the new pricing structure. These issues have now been partially addressed, allowing us to proceed with our two price plan tiers.
Additional Priorities
During this period, we also shifted our focus to several major projects aimed at improving your overall experience with Events Manager. We’re just as excited to work on these as this transition, given our priority is making the best Events plugin possible!
Complete Site Redesign
Our site was old, and missing a lot of information regarding showcasing all the things Events Manager has to offer . With all that we’ve added over the past few months, it still is!
We undertook a comprehensive redesign of our website to enhance usability, accessibility, and overall user experience. The new design makes it easier for users to navigate, find information and see our features more clearly.
Brand-New Documentation Website
Arguably one of our most important changes; We have launched an entirely new documentation website to provide clearer, more intuitive, and detailed guides with a lighting-fast infrastructure. This new resource is designed to help users quickly find answers and learn how to make the most of Events Manager’s features. We’re currently revising a lot of the documentation and bringing it up to date, along with documenting many features recently added that have not been documented yet.
Major Improvements to Events Manager
In addition to these changes, we’ve implemented numerous enhancements to the core Events Manager plugin, focusing on stability, performance, and user-requested features. This includes better data handling in booking tables, more robust privacy and consent options, improved booking management, and various bug fixes that provide a smoother experience for both free and Pro users.
These initiatives were essential for providing a more stable, efficient, and user-friendly experience, setting the stage for future growth and enhancements.
What to Expect with the New Pricing Plans
Starting next Wednesday, we will offer two distinct pricing plans:
- Pro Plus: This plan will provide access to all features and add-ons (excluding WooCommerce, sold exclusively on woocommerce.com). This will include the newly released Events Manager Connect add-on. This plan is great for event planners who want all we have to offer with great value.
- Pro (Excludes some add-ons): For those who need a powerful event management solution but don’t require every add-on, this plan includes all essential features and options but excludes a few modular add-ons. This plan is perfect for users who want a streamlined experience with the ability to add only what they need.
Both plans are designed to offer value and flexibility, allowing you to choose the option that best fits your needs. We believe these options will provide our users with a better choice and a more tailored experience whilst allowing us to expand on an ever-growing list of features.
What Should You Do Next?
Currently, you can get the Pro Plus plans at the price of our Pro plan, when the transition takes place, all Pro users become Pro Plus users and maintain their current renewal price. This will become an exceptional deal as we add new features to the Plus plan which will inevitably have price adjustments to reflect that.
We also want to remind you that all existing licenses will continue to be honored under the terms of the new plans, so there’s no need to worry about any changes to your current services and prices.
