We’ve been working hard at future-proofing the plugin for further features we have planned. One part that required a major overhaul was the way Gateways worked and how they incorporated with the Free plugin.

We’ve simplified both sides and have made it very easy for developers to add their own custom gateways. We know, because we then proceeded to add Authorize.net AIM the exact same way! You can certainly expect a tutorial in the near future showing you how this is done.

This has taken up most of our time this past month, which lays down a great foundation and we’re excited to get on with more Gateways and features (soon to come – PayPal Pro and Google Checkout).

However, that doesn’t mean we can’t sneak in another feature at the same time! We’ve added another long-awaited feature…. Coupons! You can give time or quantity conditional discounts in percentages or fixed amounts, which you can just apply to your registered users. For more information and screenshots, check out the docs.
